Crash Report Fee  $5.00
The fee is for each crash report purchased.  These can also be purchased online at www.buycrash.com


Incident Reports $3.00
Reports are released at the discretion of the Police Department Administration.  The Department will not release the following type of reports without a Court Order :
*Investigation is Active
*Investigation involving a Narcotics Arrest
*Investigation involving the Dept. of Child Services (DCS)

Miscellaneous Reports : $0.10 per page

For quicker service, reports can also be purchased online at www.GovPayNow.com or by calling 1-888-604-7888.  Our PLC # is 7354.  There is a slight fee for using this service.  Purchased reports can be emailed, mailed, faxed or picked up.

Other Services


Title Checks : As per City Ordinance, there is a $5.00 fee for each title check performed.  Prepayment is required.  Payment can be made at the administration window during normal working hours or online at www.GovPayNow.com.

Notary Service : Administration Secretaries will notarize documents for a fee of $2.00.

Handgun Permit Application Process:  Go to http://www.in.gov/isp/2829.htm.

Applicant must go through the Indiana State Police First.  Electronic finger printing must also be done prior to coming to the Shelbyville Police Department.

SPD Cost for Lifetime permit - $50.00
SPD Cost for 4 year permit - $10.00
